I've got some content I want to post (more like reupload content that has been deleted) but I'm unsure if this is safe to do without a vpn. I know that isp's are a lot more strict when it comes to distribution that just consuming so I'd like to make sure.

better to just be safe and use a vpn, there are free options you can find with a little googlefu if you can't afford one

I would suggest using a VPN. I use PIA (got a pretty good deal on a $3 year sub for ~$40).

I definitely wouldn’t recommend it, if you can use a VPN I always would use it

I'm not sure why you're worried about the ISP as opposed to being sued by the copyright holders. The traffic is encrypted, the ISP can only see that you're on this site, not what you're posting. The only way you're getting screwed is if some outside party (probably the copyright holders) gain access to the IP you used to post the links. And the only way they're getting your IP is if this site decides to gives it to them (or if it gets hacked).
